Other Cheerleading Scholarships For College

While the majority of the available cheerleading scholarships for college are specific to a particular college or university, there are a few that are general and can be used at any college or university.  One of the cheerleading scholarships for college that can be used at any school is the Shirley A. Wedge National Cheer and Dance Scholarship Fund.  These cheerleading scholarships for college are awarded through a competition and there are six one thousand dollar scholarships and two five hundred dollar scholarships awarded each year.  Of the six scholarships for one thousand dollars each one is awarded in each of six categories.  The categories are Crowd Leader Varsity for females, Crowd Leader Varsity for males, Cheer Individual Varsity for females, Cheer Individual Varsity for males, Dance Soloist Varsity for females, and Dance Soloist Varsity for males.  The remaining two scholarships for five hundred dollars each are awarded to one person in each of the Stunt Group Female Varsity and Coed Partner Stunt categories.
